Ryan graduated from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne Dental School in 2009 and then returned to Northern Ireland to complete vocational training where he has remained ever since working as a general dental practitioner in Northern Ireland.
He is committed to continuous education, keeping up with new techniques and materials to provide the best care for his patients. He has completed a Masters in Advanced General Dental Practice at the University of Birmingham with distinction in 2020 and is now studying for a Diploma in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry. He is also a member of the Royal College of Surgeons with a Membership in Primary Dental Care. Ryan has a special interest in advanced restorative and aesthetic treatments and treating anxious and nervous patients of all ages.
Ryan is also very active within the dental community in Northern Ireland being part of the Committee for the Northern Ireland Branch of the British Dental Association and was previously the Clinical Lead for BUPA Dental Care in Northern Ireland. He has also been a mentor for trainee nurses as part of their NEBDN qualification.
Outside of work Ryan enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife, 2 daughters and many animals. He also likes to play golf and hockey, including representing Ireland and Ulster at Masters level in hockey in both World Cups and European Championships.
